Last December I was over in Siem Reap Cambodia for work. While I was there I had the privilege to stay at the Shinta Mani Hotel, one of the greatest in the world.
The hotel runs something called the Shinta Mani Foundation where every penny of every donation goes to helping poor people. We took half a day to go and visit some of the projects of the foundation with a wonderful gentleman called Brad Akins, the foundation's director. What we saw literally blew our minds. Here we are in 2020 and there are people who do not have access to running water. We learned that the foundation drills wells for people's homes so that they may have an abundance of water and so without hesitation Done!, my company, committed to buying one well. Yesterday I received the photos that show the well and the family and I wanted to share it with all of you. You too can do this. Just contact the foundation through the Shinta Mani website and you can bring water to a family home for less than $200.
I know if you are anything like us, you could easily spend that much on a dinner out, whereas you could be making a home a livable place by donating a well.
